Missouri Alliance for Animal Legislation

Protect. Advocate. Legislate.

When:     Tuesday, April 21, 2020 (9:00am - 2:00pm)

Where:    Missouri State Capitol Building (Jefferson City)

Who:        All Animal Advocates Welcome!

Sponsored by the Missouri Alliance for Animal Legislation, Humane Day at the Capitol is an opportunity to present ourselves as a large and united group of people who care about the humane treatment of Missouri's animals, and we expect Missouri leadership to reflect our collective values as responsible custodians.

Additionally, Animal Welfare organizations from all parts of Missouri set up displays in the 3rd floor Rotunda where legislators and animal welfare advocates can meet and greet, get to know each other, and hopefully familiarize themselves with the efforts and issues related to animal welfare.

If you are an individual looking to support the humane treatment of animals, we can provide you with contact information of your state legislators as well as background information on a given issue. This will enable you to make an appointment and meet personally with your legislator to discuss animal legislation (typically a very brief meeting). It's really about putting a name to a face, and letting your legislators know that you as their constituent, hold them accountable for their actions and for their votes. We would love to help you meet your legislator on Humane Day!

We invite you to join us on Humane Day and put a face to a name on behalf of animals in Missouri.
